GDPR at TRIBE Research

1. INTRODUCTION

MPL Research Srl (trading as TRIBE RESEARCH – data controller) based in Naples (NA) Corso Vittorio Emanuele 74, 80122, is a company formed by a team of researchers specializing in the organization and management of market research, ie researches aimed to collect people's opinions on certain products, services and situations.
TRIBE Research is a member of BHBIA and ESOMAR and is therefore bound to comply with the Code of Conduct of the Market Research Institutes, as well as with the EU Regulation 2016/679, known as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and to Article 11 of Legislative Decree 196/2003.
This privacy policy statement defines TRIBE Research commitment to the protection of the privacy of respondents  and of the members of its databases and has the intent to inform you about their rights regarding the protection of privacy and personal data.

2. DATA COLLECTION AND RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

TRIBE Research collects information in different ways: through an appropriate section of its website, invitations to participate to market surveys, applications for mobile devices and other activities carried out by its Research Team.
Respondents participation to surveys and to Tribe Research database takes place entirely on a voluntary basis. The materials shown during the surveys have a purely explorative and have non-promotional purpose.
In short, the main purposes for which TRIBE Research uses personal data are the followings:

  • contact respondents to invite them to participate to market surveys by telephone, e-mail, notifications on mobile devices or SMS or through any other available communication option;
  • inform respondents of any updates to our services, new features and information relevant to them;
  • help respondents when they contact our support team;
  • allow us to thank respondents with the expected gifts;
  • protect our agency from any fraudulent behavior;
  • avoid that the same person participates several times to the same survey (in compliance with our Terms and Conditions);
  • update the data of the members of our databases, to improve their use and to better select survey participants.

Tribe Research collects different types of data according to the specific research needs. Respondents will always be informed of the collected data will be able to choose freely whether to supply them or not.

3. DATA TREATMENT

By accepting the following, respondents confirm that they have read and understood the terms contained in this Privacy Policy statement. Therefore, we ask them to read it carefully.
With regards to the personal data you can give us we inform you of the following:

  • Answering to our questions is not compulsory and any refusal will have no consequences
  • For each interview, we will inform you about the methods of storage and access of the data provided by you
  •  For “Personal data" we intend any information relating to an identified (or identifiable) living person
  •  Personal data requested or acquired during the interview are processed with the sole purpose of conducting a market research
  • Personal data processing is anonymous, which means that the information you will choose to give us, as a result of your explicit consent will be strictly confidential and will in no way be related to you
  • Personal data processing takes place in aggregated form, which means that the information you choose to give us, as a result of your explicit consent, will be added to the information provided by other respondents to obtain a global/aggregated  picture and not to know and / or study your personal habits
  • Personal data processing is carried out either manually or by automated electronic means
  •  TRIBE Research does not disclose/transfer respondents personal data to third parties, with the only exception of what is stated at point 9.
  •  TRIBE Research has the obligation to report to the Institute of Pharmacovigilance any undesired effects (adverse events) of drugs mentioned by respondents during the survey. In this case, respondents will be specifically asked whether they wish or not to renounce to the confidentiality only for the specific undesirable effect mentioned, while all their other declarations will continue to remain confidential, as established by this Privacy Policy Statement
  •  Personal data are stored by TRIBE Research on servers located within the European Union and appropriate technological and organizational measures (consistent with the generally accepted standards)  have been taken to guarantee their protection
  • The employees and consultants of TRIBE Research are contractually obliged to follow the policies and procedures regarding privacy and security
  •  You, as an interviewee or a member of our database, have the following rights

a) obtaining from the person responsible confirmation of the existence or non-existence of your personal data in an intelligible form;

b) getting to know the origin of these data and the purposes for which they are being treated;

c) obtaining the update, rectification or - if applicable/relevant - integration of personal data;

d) obtaining the elimination ("right to be forgotten") of your personal data, in case you  no longer want them to be treated, from the shared areas and / or e-mails and databases, except for company data bound by any tax regulations or of another nature

 
  • In case you choose to exercise your right to be forgotten, the procedure for the end of data processing will be completed within 30 days from your request and to exercise this right you can choose one of the following methods
  • send a registered letter to TRIBE Research, Corso Vittorio Emauele 74, 80121, NAPLES
  • send an e-mail to the address dpo@triberesearch.it
  • Without prejudice to your right to be forgotten (as indicated at point 13 above)
  • your personal contact data will be kept by TRIBE Research for as long as it is necessary for the completion of the research and administrative activities related to your participation to it for a maximum of 10 years from the end of the survey, in compliance with the tax and legal regulations
  • if you are a member of a database, after your express consent, TRIBE Research will retain your personal contact details as long as this consent will be in place
  • - your answers and affirmations, even sensitive, released during an interview (made anonymous and aggregated) will be retained by TRIBE Research until the completion of the research and in any case for a maximum of  1 year from the date of the interview

If you believe that our processing of your personal data violates the personal data protection regulation, you are entitled by law to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority responsible for data protection. In Italy this can be done to the Garante della Privacy.
